Training of judges for the international Youth Fire Brigade competitions in 2017 of 14-16th October 2016 in Linz
Ladies and gentlemen,
again to ensure a regular and youth-friendly review at the 21. International Youth Fire Brigades competitions in VILLACH 2017, but also to convey to the Competition Rules 7th edition of 2012 for the International Youth Fire Brigades competitions, will the reviewers offered a reviewer training as in previous years.
This reviewer training the reviewers of the National Fire Brigade associations given the opportunity, on the basic of practical exercises to gain experience but also to acquire knowledge about the handling of the Competition Rules.
Given the encouraging high power density are the winning groups in their results extremely tight at the top, so to view a regular review of decisive importance. In addition, all participating groups have the right to be objective and equally assessed or evaluated. It is therefore necessary that the evaluators to the 21th International Youth Fire Brigades competitions according VILLACH 2017 (Austria) are sent to participate in this training in the fall 2016. It intends to send only those Contributor which are also involved in the activities with the young firefighters in the National Fire Brigade associations.
These courses have been proven in the past, from 1996 to 2014 and again well as paving
the way for the next Contributor International Youth Fire Brigades competitions 2017

19 th meeting of the History Commission
Dear CTIF comrades.

Following to the 19 th meeting of our Commission, the 24 th conference of the International Study Group from the 6 th to 8 th October also will take place in Pribyslav.

CTIF Forest fires Commission Meeting 2016
Dear colleagues,
I hereby invite you to participate to the CTIF forest-fires commission’s meeting in Valabre, France, on May 23rd and 24th. For the preparation, please find the following program:
1. French doctrine, forest-fires
2. Aero surveillance
3. Simulation
4. New flight base of the Civil Protection in Nimes
5. Meeting with the working group of the European program I.G.N.I.S. (Initiative for Global maNagement of bIg fires through Simulation).
The I.G.N.I.S. program is led, during two years, by 4 countries:
- United Kingdom: Northumberland County
- Italy: Firefighters, public assistance and civil defence department
- Portugal: Firefighters national school
- France: l’ENTENTE pour la forêt Méditerranéenne
They work on:
- The growing importance of forest-fires in Europe;
- The impact of climate change and its repercussions on operational responses;
- The lack of resources, the difficulties about coordination with external reinforcements;
- Logistical problems
- The differences between interventions doctrines
The meeting will begin on May 23rd around 19:00 with a diner in Valabre and will end on May 24th around 16:30.

Fire Prevention Commission annual meeting 2016
Fire Prevention Commission is organizing 2016 annual meeting. Meeting will take place in London UK, from June 13. to 15. and will be hosted by European Fire Sprinkler Network. A preliminary agenda is attached. Fire Prevention Commission welcomes CTIF members states representatives to join us at the meeting. Announcement of spring 2016 CTIF Fire Prevention Commission Meeting
CTIF Fire Prevention Commission will hold annual meeting on June 13. -15. Meeting will be hosted by
European Sprinkler Network and will take place in London UK. Plan to discuss:
1. New Fire Prevention Commission members
2. E-learning documents – Where are we and what to do in the future?
a. Adding a new documents
b. Organizing a library
c. Make a user friendly CTIF web page
3. Fire safety in Entertainment facilities – discussion about a proposed guideline
4. Active fire protection systems – Residential fire suppression systems
5. Fire safety as an important part of a holistic safety process (Safe Cities, Safe Community, etc.)
6. Cooperation with other CTIF (and other – CFPA, NFPA, FEU,) commissions – can we optimize
our work?

13th symposium of the International Youth Leader Commission
Dear comrades,
by decision of the International Youth Leader Commission may I invite all national associations of CTIF fort he 13th symposium.
The organization of the 13th Symposium accepts the association of volunteer fire departments of the province Trentino (Italy).
Under the motto „Youth Fire Brigade – challenges of the future“ we want to work in workshops following topics:
1. Transfer oft he Youth Fire Brigade to active duty
2. Integration – challenges / opportunities ?
3. Youth Fire Brigade still has a future?
4. Challenges by children fire departements
Of Each national association can participate 3 teenagers and 2 carers.
The participation fee is 60,00 € per person.
Program:
Thursday, 5th May 2016 - Arrival till 18.00 Uhr
Friday, 6th May 2016 - Symposium
Saturday, 7th May 2016 - Symposium
Sunday, 8th Mai 2016 - Departure
